We are seeking a talented and creative UI designer with strong Japanese language skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces, with the ability to communicate effectively in both Japanese and English. You will work closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to deliver high-quality digital products that enhance user experience and meet business goals.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Design and create visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring alignment with user needs and business objectives.
- Collaborate with UX designers to translate wireframes and user flows into polished UI designs.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries that cater to both Japanese and international audiences.
- Conduct user research and usability testing in Japanese to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
- Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and adherence to best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies, particularly in the Japanese market.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders in both Japanese and English, incorporating feedback into the design process.
- Ensure consistency in design across all platforms and devices, with a focus on cultural relevance for Japanese users.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your design work, particularly in design systems and UI components.
- Fluent in Japanese (written and spoken) and proficient in English; ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders in both languages.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and responsive design is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating cohesive and scalable design solutions.
