Scentsy is looking for a Visual UI Designer to develop, design, and coordinate creative digital artwork for visual communications such as e-commerce websites, landing pages, emails, social media platforms, and blog posts.
What You'll Do:
- Designs, develops, and creates on-brand, user-centered designs for websites
- Works collaboratively with web team to improve the usability, usefulness, and desirability of websites
- Makes recommendations to integrate design into development rules and system architecture
- Creates mood boards and seasonal concept presentations
- Collaborates cross-functionally to develop creative concepts
- Manages timelines and creative resources
- Collaborates with Project Managers to determine timelines for design deliverables
- Participates in brainstorming and conceptual design discussions with project stakeholders.
- Works on small design projects or pieces of larger design projects
- Conducts market research to stay current with industry trends
- Assists with improving the end-user experience
- Assists with communicating and documenting user-interactions and design ideas
- Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed
We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, other related field, or equivalent work experience
- 1 year of related experience preferred
- Online portfolio displaying user-centered and e-commerce design required
- Basic skills in web production and front-end development using programming and minor understanding of scripting languages
- Basic familiarity with platform/browser compatibility and basic usability issues
- Visual graphic design and interactive design skills with an understanding of web design principles
- Knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques, a strong online portfolio displaying user-centered and e-commerce design.
- Understanding of changes in appearance of websites in different platforms (mobile, desktop, etc.)
- Knowledge of business and user requirements, as well as technical considerations, to identify key factors to be considered for web projects
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML (emails, landing pages, etc.), Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) and web wireframing environments such as Figma
- Experience implementing social media elements and campaigns
- Familiarization with Content Management Systems and content update schedules
