UX/UI Designer (6-months internship)

We are hiring a UX/UI Designer Intern for our Design Team. The UX/UI Designer Intern position allows aspiring designers to hone their UI (User Interface) abilities and contribute meaningfully to impactful digital projects. The UX/UI Designer Intern will work closely with the lead designer, the Product team, and the Tech team to create engaging and visually appealing interfaces based on user requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. UI Design & Prototyping:

• Craft wireframes and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
• Construct interactive prototypes to help with usability testing.
• Support in maintaining the design system, and gaining exposure to component libraries, style guides, and other essential tools.
• Understand the importance of consistency in design and learn to ensure designs align with established guidelines.

Additional Learning Opportunities:

1. Collaboration & Exposure:

• Work closely with the lead designer, product manager, and other stakeholders to align design efforts with project goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional squads (value streams) focused on different parts of the GRESB platform, gaining exposure to a range of products and user types.
• Ensure alignment between design and brand by collaborating with the Marketing team.
• Engage in a multicultural team environment, contributing to inclusive, globally relevant design solutions.  

2. User-Centered Design Insights:

• Dive into user research, usability tests, and more.
• Support the analysis of user feedback, understanding the data-driven design decision process.

3. Design Strategy & Documentation:

• Assist in performing competitive analysis to understand industry benchmarks.
• Help in mapping out user journeys to visualize user interactions.
• Support in developing user personas based on team research.
• Engage in brainstorming sessions and develop user flow.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field)
• Proficient in English
• Must possess the right to work in the Netherlands (non-EU applicants must already have a Dutch working permit)
• Good communication skills combined with creativity
• Working knowledge of design tools including Figma
• A desire to learn and a passion for UI design
• Foundation in design principles; eager to expand this knowledge
• A keen eye for captivating designs
• Team player with an open mind for feedback
• Aligns with GRESB's sustainable vision
• Portfolio of personal or professional work in UI/UX design for web platforms
• Familiarity with data visualization UI (e.g., Dashboards, Graphs)
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS (appreciated)
• Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI (appreciated)
