UI/UX Product Designer

The UI/UX Product Designer will own the end-to-end design function for our SaaS platform, from discovery through delivery, ensuring consistent, intuitive, and high-quality user experiences and usability across complex web and mobile applications. This role requires a self-directed designer capable of translating written requirements and business objectives into iterative wireframes, mockups, and production-ready design systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership & Process

  • Own the creation and maintenance of the product’s visual and interaction design standards across all applications.
  • Independently translate written requirements, use cases, and problem statements into user flows, low-fidelity wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Develop, maintain, and evolve style guides, component libraries, and design systems to ensure consistent colors, typography, icons, and layout patterns.
  • Produce iterative design options and prototypes to validate concepts with Product, Engineering, and end users.
  • Establish a repeatable, consistent design iteration process that delivers frequent refinements based on feedback and user insights.

User Experience & Research

  • Conduct user interviews, workflow observations, and usability testing to understand real-world processes and pain points.
  • Evaluate current workflows and UI to identify inconsistencies, inefficiencies, or friction that slow user productivity.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into user-centric design recommendations.
  • Translate research findings into actionable design improvements, workflow refinements, and UI recommendations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Management to refine requirements and ensure designs align with business goals and industry needs.
  • Partner with Engineering early and often to ensure designs are implementable and to support development with clear specifications and assets.
  • Participate in product planning sessions, requirement reviews, and design discussions, proactively asking questions to clarify goals and reduce ambiguity.

Product Delivery & Support

  • Produce, update, and maintain design documentation for Engineering and stakeholders.
  • Assist with product branding initiatives and ensure visual identity consistency across features and releases.
  • Support the product release cycle by contributing to release notes, helping coordinate user communications, and gathering feedback on new features.
  • Monitor designs after release, gather usage insights, and recommend enhancements to continuously improve usability and product quality.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage workload, and drive design projects from concept to delivery with minimal oversight.
  • Proven ability to generate designs directly from written requirements and convert abstract ideas into concrete design artifacts.
  • Strong understanding of modern design principles, interaction patterns, and usability best practices.
  • Experience with design tools and frameworks such as Figma, Storybook, Tailwind, or design system libraries like Untitled UI.
  • Strong attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions.
