In this role, you will work within the design team of an early-stage startup, collaborating with the product and engineering teams to build a platform that improves health measurement in clinical research. This is an in-person role, requiring you to be in our Brooklyn office four days a week.
Product designers sit within the Design team at Brooklyn Health, working closely with the Product and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and evolve the design system
- Design features from concept to implementation, working closely with PM and developers throughout the entire process. Finding the best design solution to usability issues while working within technical constraints.
- Conduct user research and interviews to inform product strategy
- Manage the company website, ensuring brand alignment
- Collaborate with illustrators and animators on design assets
Requirements
- Highly skilled in Figma for design and prototyping
- Basic familiarity with Webflow for maintenance of company website
- Previously worked on teams alongside product and engineering
- Experience developing designs for web and iOS applications
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to develop product demo videos or familiarity with video editing tools that help us do this
- Comfortable with Illustrator or other animation tools, able to edit illustrations, maybe make basic illustrations
- Previous experience building healthcare and/or clinical research products
