Dayforce is looking for self-starting, highly motivated Associate Product Designers to design useful, usable, and desirable products for the millions of workers who rely on them every day. HR and workforce management tools should demonstrate the same care and craft of consumer software, designed with contemporary user- and human-centered practices.

Product Designers work across a range of design practice, from up-front research, insights, and strategy, though to ideation, prototyping, and testing, and to delivery of final designs. Strong communication skills, particularly an ability to articulate the rationale behind design decisions and an ability to accept feedback are keys for success.

What you’ll get to do:

• Design, usability testing, and iteration, to improve the user experience of our app and be an active part of every stage of the product design process
• Be paired with a dedicated mentor and a team of highly skilled designers
• Take design direction from Product Designers and Design Managers, ensuring your efforts roll up into a coherent whole
• Participate in Design sessions to help define scope and plan out design work
• Ideation and prototyping to explore different options, including unexpected, but still workable solutions
• Create and innovate UI designs, utilizing all the tools in the Dayforce internal design system
• Learn how to approach complex business problems with curiosity, working closely with Engineering team and PMs, to determine elegant solutions

Skills and experience we value:

• Curiosity, diligence, attention to detail, and a desire to grow through diving into uncomfortable challenges, with the ability to express your ideas clearly
• Comfortable taking directions from senior designers and accepting feedback
• Eager to broaden and develop your design skills
• Familiarity with user-centered and human-centered design approaches
• Familiarity with design tools (e.g Figma)
• Basic understanding of front-end development technologies
