Junior UX Designer

Through internal progression, BiP are recruiting for a Junior UX Designer to join our team. Working with our Technology and Product functions you will support how we manage, and develop, multiple digital platforms across our SaaS portfolio. We are passionate about developing the experience our users have…and that’s where your role will come in.

With the investment we have made into our Product programme, we have established a solid set of components and user interface for our main products. You’ll therefore benefit from solid foundations on which to build, but with the scope and opportunity to shape, and ultimately improve, how we continually evolve the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

In the role, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Development, Data, Sales and Marketing to shape and continuously improve our platform’s user experience. Your work will help turn complex problems into simple, intuitive, and meaningful solutions.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll be involved in the decision-making process and have the space to explore ideas, test hypotheses and push the boundaries of what great UX looks like. A core part of your role will be understanding our users – their needs, challenges and behaviours – through research, data interactions, workshops and so on.

About You

  • Initial experience in UX/product design, ideally within SaaS or tech-focussed environments.
  • Experience of leading the design process
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and influence cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in modern design and collaboration tools e.g. Adobe XD

A portfolio that showcases:

  • Strategic UX thinking and problem solving
  • Interaction and visual design
  • Consideration for usability, accessibility, and responsive design
  • Application of user research insights
  • Understanding of design systems, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles
  • Ability to multi-task and working to deadlines

What’s on Offer

  • Contributory pension scheme
  • 22 days + 8 Bank Holidays (increasing with service)
  • Birthday off
  • Health cash plan
  • 2 hours per week for self-training or side projects
  • On-site parking
  • Access to OVO Hydro Club
  • Discount on Gym Membership
  • Quarterly social nights and an annual awards night
