Graduate UX Researcher- Technical Product Focus

Do you have a passion for uncovering the realities of complex technical workflows and shaping products that power businesses behind the scenes? At Sage, UX Research drives product innovation by transforming raw data and honest user feedback into actionable insights.

As a Graduate UX Researcher with a technical product emphasis, you’ll be part of an agile, multidisciplinary team that values deep collaboration between UX design, product management, content, and technical solution architects. You’ll investigate the needs, behaviors, and pain points of technical users—including developers, system integrators, and business analysts—using both qualitative and quantitative research approaches. Whether it’s running remote usability studies on APIs and backend tools or mapping end-to-end workflows, you’ll inform the design of platforms and solutions that deliver technical excellence and usability.

This role suits someone early in their UX research career who brings a foundational understanding of technical systems: perhaps through academic study, personal projects, technical internships, or hands-on experience with APIs, cloud platforms, and/or development toolchains. Curiosity, systems thinking, and a drive to bridge product gaps are most important.

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Recruitment for technical users to participate in our moderated and unmoderated studies.
  • Partner deeply with designers, researchers, content writers, product owners, and technical stakeholders to understand research priorities for APIs, integrations, and backend services.
  • Identify and synthesize actionable insights—translating complex research into clear recommendations for product strategy, UX, and technical roadmaps.
  • Visualize and communicate research findings through reports, diagrams, user journeys, and interactive workshops, tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Cognitive Psychology, Information Systems, Human Factors, or a related discipline.
  • Foundational exposure to software development practices (e.g., coding, APIs, cloud platforms, or technical toolsets).
  • Excellent analytical, observational, and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary settings.
  • Ability to distill complex product and user requirements and articulate findings for diverse teams.
  • Strong empathy for technical users and a proactive, iterative approach in fast-paced development environments.
  • Experience (academic or practical) in presenting research results and influencing technical product decisions.

This role will be based from our Ponce City office and is hybrid, so you will be in the office 3 days per week.

What you can expect from the process

  1. Apply online with a resumé
  2. Complete screening and video interview (You will receive a link to complete a video interview after applying)
  3. If successful at video interview stage, you will be invited to attend an assessment centre
  4. Successful candidates will join us in October 2025

Please note that due to the high volume of application, there will be a delay in receiving a response from your video interview. We thank you for your patience.
