About the Role

This is a role for a creative individual with a passion for user-centered content design and willingness to collaborate within a team environment. You’ll help build the BetMGM experience and elevate the team by producing work that is always raising the bar and taking a user first approach to solving problems. Your work will allow our customers to feel delighted, empowered and oriented every time they use our products.


  • Collaborate with product managers, user researchers, content strategists, engineers, and other designers on product direction and delivery in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Create and refine product messaging that facilitates user discovery, on-boarding, promos, error messages, user education, and other components of the end-to-end user experience.
  • Support the maintenance and evolution of content design guidelines and best practices in BetMGM’s design system. Help establish consistency in product language and messaging to ensure a cohesive brand voice.
  • Assist in developing a content design perspective throughout the product development process and influence strategic decisions across and within products.
  • Evangelize the value of content design within the BetMGM Product and partner organizations.
  • Understand the importance of User Research and Data Science to define what qualitative and quantitative data will be important in your work. Partner with those teams throughout the design and development process, becoming familiar with different data collection techniques and adapt work based on data analysis.
  • Contribute to the creation of detailed user flows, product maps, wireframes, etc. based on your own insight and requirements from Product Management. Clearly and thoroughly communicate UX to relevant teams and help represent UX throughout the entire lifecycle of the project.
  • Understand and translate complex regulatory, business, and technical requirements to clear and concise language to maintain privacy, accountability, and user control.
  • Share early and often, gather and provide constructive feedback, and quickly iterate.
  • Drive content-specific deliverables for given challenges, such as content audits, messaging frameworks, and dynamic copy solutions.
  • Develop product expertise and promote cross-functional collaboration to accurately prioritize feature deliverables.

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time


  • 0-3 years of experience as a Content Designer or UX Writer working on cross-functional teams releasing consumer or enterprise web/mobile products.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience with quick decision-making and rapid iteration.
  • The ability to break down problems and work within constraints.
  • Familiarity with creating content for high-quality digital products with significant business and technical complexity.
  • Understanding of interactive design, usability principles, design systems and how content strategy contributes to user experience.
  • Ability to tailor content as an ecosystem, considering everything from component-level copy to page level IA to experience-level journey mapping.
  • A growth-mindset and love of learning. You’re open and receptive to feedback and can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep curiosity around current products, trends, software, platforms, and hardware.
  • Familiarity with design software, primarily Figma.
  • A portfolio of project samples showcasing how you frame user problems, act on insights, and address user needs with UX copy and strategy to help create best-in-class digital product experiences.
