Joining Personal Care Design means working within a small-but-mighty, dedicated design team on the development of high-impact brand innovation. WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Guide teams through the exciting early stages of innovation using design thinking magic
  • Team up with top-tier agencies to dream beyond packaging and into the future of holistic brand experience
  • Partner with brand leaders to unlock new value and spark business growth
  • Champion design consistency across every touchpoint, from concept to consumer
  • Collaborate with insights pros to ensure every design prototype hits the sweet spot of consumer desire and business need
  • Shape creative frameworks to enable brilliant creative decision-making
  • Dive into semiotics to spot what’s next before it’s cool and leverage it to craft stellar design briefs
  • Dazzle with visual storytelling that makes your concepts shine
  • Participate in workshops that unlock strategy and spark innovation
  • Prototype (scrappily) early, often, and boldly—because great ideas deserve to be tested
  • Experience with new tools and tech to keep our design ecosystem cutting-edge

WHO YOU ARE:

You thrive on crafting compelling narratives through design, with an eye for stunning aesthetics and desirable experiences. You are a natural-born storyteller, with a true gift for translating those stories into innovative product ideas. You have a passion for outstanding user experience at all touchpoints, and you use creativity, empathy, and a diverse breadth of tools and methodologies to help define what that end-to-end experience looks like. You care deeply about designs that strike the balance of beauty and feasibility, communicate clearly and have a collaborative spirit. You are entrepreneurial at heart. You are a design thinker AND doer, a self-starter with a growth mindset in relation to your own personal development.

About your skills and capabilities:

  • 1-3+ years' experience in a similar role, with a range of brand design experience in a corporate, consultancy or agency environment. Ideally, you hold a degree within the area of design, marketing, branding or innovation.
  • Strong communication and visualization skills, especially in the area of early concepting.
  • A brilliant knack for translating technical ideas to non-technical audiences, and a strong ability to distill consumer insights into opportunity areas for design.
  • A keen eye for detail and impeccable crafting skills, but equally important to us is a designer who can confidently express their ideas through words.
  • Presenting and discussing work within the design team, as well as with stakeholders and external creative partners, is a fundamental requirement of this role.
  • A whiz in Adobe Creative Suite with a passion for graphic design ideation, mockups, and refinement.
  • Working knowledge with 3D modeling and rendering software.
  • Awareness of common packaging materials, their manufacturing processes, and their design and sustainability implications.
  • You have a passion to learn, collaborate, and challenge yourself to grow as a designer.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $69,360 to $104,040. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
