Associate Product Designer

  • A confident communicator who can clearly present your design journey from research through to prototype and production?
  • Skilled in using tools like Figma to design and prototype user experiences?
  • Experienced in conducting user research and usability testing, both in-person and remotely?
  • A creative problem solver who can design with data and user needs at the heart of every decision?

What’s the role?

The Associate Product Designer supports the creation of new and improved digital experiences for residents. Working closely with Product Managers and Software Developers, the role involves contributing to user research, prototyping, and usability testing, and helping deliver solutions into production. The Associate Product Designer will apply design skills to simplify complex systems and create intuitive user interfaces, while learning to influence stakeholders and advocate for user-centered design.

You bring creativity and precision to your work, with a strong grasp of design tools like Figma. You’re curious and collaborative, keen to learn from user research and feedback. You understand the importance of accessibility and public service values. You’re confident communicating design ideas and working with cross-functional teams to improve digital experiences.

Location

The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
